Tenant Improvement
Field notes on commercial build-outs and where the glass scope fits — written for property managers, tenants and the contractors coordinating them.
The Short Version
A tenant improvement changes how a commercial space is used. Walls move, entrances change, an open floor plate becomes offices and meeting rooms. Almost every one of those changes touches glass — the storefront out front, the office fronts inside, the doors between them.
Glazing is also one of the easiest scopes to sequence wrong. It sits late enough that everything ahead of it pushes into it, and early enough that finishes behind it cannot start until it is set. Get it wrong and it is the trade everyone is waiting on.
On build-outs as well as repair work. Send the drawings or a photo of the existing frontage.
